ADHD Assessments

Here at Terra, we currently offer comprehensive diagnostic ADHD assessments to adults (17+) both online and in person in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, and Preston, Lancashire. These are completed to the gold-standard, and adhere to NICE guidelines. We will soon be offering ADHD assessments to children too. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for this, please contact us.

The process of an ADHD assessment is as follows:
1

Initial consultation

To ensure that an ADHD assessment is the correct avenue to explore, we always offer an initial consultation following a new enquiry. During this appointment, we will meet with you to discuss your concerns and consider whether a full assessment would be useful. We will ask you to complete some screening measures before this appointment, and will score these and discuss the outcome with you. We will also send you an email summary of our discussion. This appointment lasts around 50 minutes and is charged at £200 (to include review of screening questionnaires and email summary). Please note that this is not a diagnostic appointment.

ADHD Diagnostic Assessment

- Following the initial consultation, you and your clinician may decide that an ADHD assessment would be a useful next step.  An ADHD assessment comprises of several different components, during which we will take a full clinical history, will gather information from several sources, and will ask you to complete a number of different measures.

- We will always take your lead on how best to support you during assessment, and so will give you the option to break this into several shorter appointments over the course of a couple of weeks, or to spend a full morning clinic on the assessment.

- After the assessment, we will spend time reviewing all of the information gathered and writing this into a report. We will then invite you back for a further appointment to discuss the outcome of the assessment, including any possible differential diagnoses (for example if we think your difficulties might be better explained by autism or anxiety). A full ADHD assessment is charged at £1000.

- If a diagnosis is made, we recognise that this can bring up a range of different emotions. We therefore offer a 4-session package of post-diagnostic support that is tailored to your needs, and considers how this diagnosis may impact you moving forwards. This package is charged at £550. For more details on this, please visit our post-diagnostic support page.

We also offer cognitive assessment for adults and children both in conjunction with and independent of ADHD assessments. Please get in contact if this is something that you would like further information on.
